Archstone Investment Co.
$100m+ acquisition of a majority interest in the Bindaree Beef Group
Piper Alderman was pleased to advise Archstone Investment Co. on the $100m+ acquisition of a majority interest in the Bindaree Beef Group.
Bindaree Beef Group, based in Inverell NSW, is the fifth largest meat processor in Australia. The group operates a vertically integrated supply chain business including feedlots, an export listed processing facility with a 300,000 head capacity, sales and distribution channels as well as consumer facing brands and a retail store.
Bindaree’s founder said the partnership with Archstone would enable the group to expand its operations to have a greater domestic and international reach: “our joint vision for BBG is to create a more competitive company that can cater for both local and international markets.”
Piper Alderman worked closely with the Archstone deal team over many months to conduct due diligence, structure the deal, negotiate transaction documentation and ultimately close on what was a landmark transaction for all parties.
