BBHO bid for S. Kidman & Co.

Piper Alderman was proud to act for the consortium of all-Australian bidders, known as BBHO, who announced a $386 million takeover bid for the iconic Australian cattle producer, S. Kidman & Co. Ltd.

The consortium brought together four Australian farming families with significant existing interests in agriculture, namely, the Buntine, Brinkworth, Harris and Oldfield families. The bid was conducted in a competitive environment, under tight timeframes and was the subject of heightened public interest and scrutiny.

We advised the consortium on structuring, strategic planning for the takeover bid and proposed operations, the takeover process and documentation and generally assisted with the consortium’s collaboration during the bid.
