Western Abalone Processors Pty Ltd

Western Abalone was founded in 1982 by a group of pioneering families on the west coast of South Australia. The company’s members dive and hand harvest abalone from the reefs that dot South Australia’s remote western coastline.

Cooperative in ethos, the company operates a state-of-the-art plant dedicated solely to processing abalone for its members and other suppliers. Western Abalone processes predominantly for Asian export markets, supplying premium export grade IQF (individually quick-frozen), canned, pouch and live products.

Registered with and approved by the Australian Quarantine Inspection Service, Western Abalone have maintained an A-grade rating based on HACCP requirements.
