Kieren is a senior associate in the national Corporate team, specialising in corporate transactions, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, capital raisings, financial services law and funds management. Kieren advises private companies, listed and unlisted public companies, managed investment trustees and high net worth individuals in respect of all corporate aspects of their businesses and investments.

Kieren has worked on numerous mergers, acquisitions and divestments in a range of industries, including financial services, information technology, mining and resources, medical services, aged care and charitable services.

Kieren regularly provides regulatory compliance advice, including in relation to corporations legislation, the requirements of regulatory bodies such as ASIC and APRA, and the ASX listing rules. Much of the advice that Kieren provides has a financial services focus, and he advised a number of financial institutions in relation to the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry.

Kieren often provides advice to boards in relation to directors’ duties and regulatory obligations, assists clients to obtain financial services licences, assists in the establishment of registered and unregistered managed investment schemes (including property syndications) and advises on the promotion of investment products, including by preparing and reviewing prospectuses and product disclosure statements.
