Having practiced in corporate and commercial law since 2005, Maria has acted for both listed and unlisted clients on due diligence and probity issues, request for proposals, expressions of interest, tenders, shareholders agreements, facility agreements, service agreements, terms of trade, Personal Property Securities Act issues, warranties and indemnities, W&I insurance advice and occupational health and safety investigations and prosecutions.
Maria specialises in acting for transport companies and has particular experience in advising Australia’s largest bus transport operators and State associations during negotiations for major government public passenger service contracts in Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia.
In particular, Maria has specific skills in acting for operators dealing with post-contractual disputes on government public passenger service contracts and defending operators for alleged regulatory breaches.
She also has significant experience in negotiating and advising on complex M&A transactions by way of asset and/or share sale throughout Australia.
